Welcome to Antwerp, the largest city in Belgium. It is the capital of Antwerp Province in the Flemish Region and is known as one of the world’s major seaports. Antwerp has a diverse layout, with the city center located on the right bank of the Schelde River and residential and industrial development on the left bank. The old city showcases narrow, winding streets and historic buildings, including the iconic Cathedral of Our Lady. The largest part of the city is a nonresidential seaport complex with docks, industrial sites, and railway yards, all connected to the Schelde River via locks.
